MATEO RELEASES LIVE CD/DVD

MySpace recording artist MATEO is set to release Get To Know Me: Live At Swing House, a live performance album/DVD on September 15th, 2009. Get To Know Me: Live At Swing House releases on the heels of Mateo’s national Sorority/Fraternity college tour kicking off September 8th at Arizona State University through November 13th at UC Irvine with up to 40 city dates being added. After recently doing dates with Making The Band’s Day 26, J. Holliday, Colby O’ Donis, De La Soul, & Erykah Badu, armed with his trusted piano the tour & EP will feature favorites from Mateo’s groundbreaking Underneath The Sky cinematic mixtape series: Ohh N Love, Get To Know Me, Human, Till She Goes, Underneath The Sky and Complicated.

The Los Angeles based alternative R& B singer/songwriter recorded the CD/ DVD during an intimate performance at Swing House, the famed Los Angeles studio& rehearsal space that has been frequented by artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shakira, The Fray, Band of Horses and Maroon 5. Mateo’s music has been described by Under The Gun.com as “of the Urban Mod movement, mixing pop and alternative with classic r+b”, Mateo quickly rose to notoriety gaining over 200K Myspace views after posting his first song Human. Noticed immediately by Myspace A&R Consultant & former MTV VJ Quddus Philippe, they quickly got to work amassing over 2 million views following up with a 5 part Cinematic mixtape series, Underneath The Sky, which gained him even more acclaim from outlets such as DJ Booth.Net, Okayplayer.com & Access Hollywood.
